An-Chi's mom, Mrs. Chin came into teach the children about the Chinese New Year holiday. Chinese New Year begins with the new moon, and ends with the full moon -- a perfect connection to our moon unit coming up in science! Mrs. Chin read the boys and girls a legend that explains the symbolism behind the color red and fire crackers used in the celebrations. Happy New Year!
